New MCard prices 2023
21 February 2023Following the Department for Transport’s guidelines on rail price increases for 2023 and a detailed review of our prices, rail zonal MCards (combined bus and rail) and the cost of rail-only travel will increase by 5.9% from Sunday 5 March 2023.
We have done our best to keep price increases to a minimum to ensure MCard tickets still offer great value for money for travel throughout West Yorkshire.
Prices for tickets shown below will be changing from Sunday 5 March.

Bus only tickets
Prices for all MCard bus-only tickets remain frozen including DaySavers, weekly, monthly and annual countywide bus travel and all MCard bus tickets for Under 19s.
More Tips for Flexible Travel and Best-Value Tickets
Longer term tickets such as Monthly and Annual MCards offer the best value for money for frequent public transport travellers on any bus or train within West Yorkshire (excluding special services). Annual MCard holders will not be affected by price changes during the life of their Annual MCard.
If you want to keep your travel options open, then DaySaver tickets bought through the MCard Mobile App can be activated as and when you need them and buying 10 tickets in one transaction offers even more savings per journey.
Make your commute easier and more affordable with discounts of up to 12%. Check if your employer is part of the West Yorkshire Travel Plan Network and sign up to their salary deduction scheme to get a Corporate Annual MCard or a Mega DaySaver offer of 50 or 100 tickets to use within a year.
